Rod & Kustom :: Pile Up #4, Hot Rod Show

Cars don’t get anymore modified than custom hot rods. Doncaster set the scene for this once a year event in which some of Melbourne’s best hot rods put on a show.

You can’t go past a classic Chev, especially in blue.

Chrome, chrome, chrome that’s what it is all about.

A great example of a Chev coupe ute.

I love the fact that all of these cars are dropped on their guts.

Xm Falcon, a work in progress.

Tough and low, this car demands respect.

There were plenty of clean engine bays on the day.

Pure evil! This Mercury was a true show stopper.

With an interior that just screams for attention, this beauty was a true master piece.

This Dodge came complete with a girl from the 50’s.

What’s a show without a Ford Woodie?

What a line up.

You never know when you may need a hearse, complete with a coffin in the back.

The kids also had mad cars!

Everything had incredible detail, even the shift knobs.

Great Model-T and awesome soft top.

The Thunderbird leads the pack.

Old school new school Alteza’s

It was great to see so many people dressed up for the occasion.

What a paint job!

Who needs a bonnet?!

Another menacing Mercury!

This was one of my favorites of the show. Its lines kind of remind me of an EH Holden.

Looks like a cartoon character!

The glossed bare metal look was crazy.
With such a great turnout and a high level of customization this hot rod show was a definite hit.
The cars displayed tireless detail which really shows the modern car modifier where it is at!
