<p>&nbsp;<br />
The third Hardtuned meet this year, held at the Monash University car park in Melbourne&#8217;s east.<br />
It seems the extra travel from the city&#8217;s CBD&nbsp; didn&#8217;t effect the turn out or the amount of idiots attending&#8230;<br />
<span id="more-2656"></span><br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/3.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
For the most part everyone was well behaved and seemed to enjoy themselves, recently the meets have been getting cut shorter and shorter thanks to excessive &#8216;limiter bashing&#8217; and burnouts etc.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/4.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
So knowing the current trend I hurriedly ran around trying to&nbsp; get enough photos before the inevitable happened.<br />
This is the R Power Motorsports Skyline, specializing in GT-R&#8217;s you can expect some decent figures and reliability from their work.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/5.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Among the large Skyline presence there was also a lone R35 hiding in the pack.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/6.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
This 260Z was attracting a bit of attention from the crowd with some nice over fenders, smoothed rear end, roll cage as well as a carbon wrapped bonnet.<br />
It looked the part and we hope we get to see this in action at hill climb or club meet in the future.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/6b.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Not something you see every day at all, a VIP styled Honda CRV.<br />
I set up my tripod and while I was taking a picture the car dropped about 3 inches and I saw the driver and passenger smiling away while playing with the airbag suspension.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/7.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Gordie&#8217;s Fiat 125s had stolen a few hearts with it&#8217;s rebuilt BBS wheels showing plenty of dish, there was always a few people stopping and admiring the handy work behind the little blue sedan.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/8.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Johnny&#8217;s street registered SR swapped Ke70 was sounding very nice with the echo off the roof of the car park.<br />
We first spotted this little Corolla in this exact same car park some 12 months earlier at a random <a href="http://gripshiftslide.com/2012/01/16/imports-saturday-night-cruise/">Import night meet</a>.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/9.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
GSS feature cars, Chris and Nity&#8217;s Civic&#8217;s are still looking the goods.<br />
Chris&#8217;s EP3 has taken on new life with a set of new wheels and carbon bonnet along with a heap of extra parts that have gone on the car recently.<br />
We will see if we can shoot an update over summer for you guys.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/10.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Hanging out at the front of the pack was three mark IV Supra&#8217;s, I stopped to have a chat with the owners and talk camera&#8217;s for a few minutes before I rushed off to get a few more shots before the &#8216;Easter Nats&#8217; kicked off.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/11.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Tucked away behind this R33 was a sticker bombed Yamaha bike, something I haven&#8217;t seen before.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/12.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
GSS sticker spotted on this very shiny Series 1 S14, the carbon bonnet looked very nice under the lights.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/13.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
GSS regular Michael&#8217;s &#8216;I &lt;3 Grip&#8217; RS Impreza and a few friends parked off together which made for a nice white group shot.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/14.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
No Photoshop here&#8230; Just two bad ass Bayside Blue R34&#8217;s.<br />
A perfect match!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/15.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
There was a few surprises in the mix like this soft top classic Celica, with the right wheels this would be a hit with the &#8216;stance&#8217; kids.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/16.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
We also came across this Toyota Hilux with two tone paint and Ford Territory steelies, not a bad look!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/16b.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
2011 WRX hatch with plenty of factory wide body goodness, seriously mean looking front end.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/17.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
The cherry on top for this months meet was this DMC Delorean, made famous by the Back to the Future movie trilogy.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/18.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
A very striking car thanks to it&#8217;s unique styling and stainless steel panels, with the total number of Deloreans left in the world rumored to be around the 6000 mark.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/19.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Watching the movies at a young age it would seem that nearly every kid dreamed of owning one of these&#8230; This kid didn&#8217;t have to wait long, check out the &#8216;P&#8217; Plates!!!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HT9_12/20.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
As was to be expected, the hero&#8217;s were out in force and the whole meet lasted 30-45 mins before everyone was deafened by excessive revving, limiter bashing and even skids as cars mad an exit.<br />
Left behind were some very unhappy car enthusiasts left to deal with the aftermath of police arriving to shut down the meet after complaints from the public.<br />
With things on the downward spiral for the Victorian car scene we plan to run our own smaller, private meets that focus on the things that brings us together.<br />
Stay tuned for more updates on our <a href="http://www.facebook.com/Gripshiftslide">Facebook page</a>, until then thanks for reading.<br />

<p>We have been absolutely inundated with car meets these past few weeks here in Melbourne, with something on every weekend after WTAC, we can barely keep up!<br />
When Hardtuned.net held their second official meet for the year, it was a great turnout with the street absolutely littered with great looking imports as far as the eye could see!!<br />
<span id="more-2471"></span><br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/2.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
With one of Hardtuned.nets&#8217; biggest sites being nissansilvia.com there were plenty of&nbsp; &#8216;S&#8217; chassis in attendance.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/3.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
If looks could kill, this Civic would have taken my life at least three times now!<br />
This has been getting around to nearly every meet and we just love it!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/4.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
The street and path provided a fresh back drop for this Melbourne meet, but what was down the end of this path?<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/5.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Another regular, this KE70 made the trip from Ballarat to catch the meet.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/6.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"></p>
<p id="js_10" data-ft="{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;;&quot;}" data-hovercard="/ajax/hovercard/user.php?id=1341225003">The white lettering onJohnathan&#8217;s GT-R&#8217;s tyres set it off completely.</p>
<p>There is something about 90&#8217;s cars and white writing that is just so cool!!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/7.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Two-tone S15?<br />
This isn&#8217;t something very commonly seen here in Australia, rather it looks like it is straight out of a Tokyo Autosalon show.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/8.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
I&#8217;m personally a big fan of widened steel wheels, however it really depends on the car. And on this Dc2, it works for me!!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/9.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
I find that clean street S13&#8217;s are getting rarer. They either appear to not be modified or they have a bit of drifter &#8216;roughness&#8217; to them.<br />
This S13 was a nice surprise and a breath of fresh air!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/10.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Picture perfect! Mazda Mx5&#8217;s seem to be best in a plain old red finish!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/11.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
It seems it was only a few months ago that to see a Toyota 86 on the road was a big deal, let alone one turning up to a meet! Things are changing fast though, with this one meet seeing five 86&#8217;s in total!!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/12.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
What could I say under this picture?<br />
Who cares! You&#8217;re probably too busy staring at the S15 anyway!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/13.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
By 5pm the meet was huge!!<br />
Soon the police arrived and started some routine breath tests in the middle of the meet.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/14.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Drawing it&#8217;s own crowd, this Nissan 350Z and Honda CBR250RR had everyone looking.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/15.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="1425"><br />
With some great wheels and a nice flush offset, the black on black look here is killer!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/16.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
The height is perfect but the rear needs just a few extra mm to fill out the guards.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/17.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
The two of them parked together made for some awesome photos!!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/18.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Regular JDMST member Chris showing off his brand new behind on his Evo. Sporting a new spoiler and rear diffuser, the car is looking immaculate!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/19.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Another car that has been spotted at a few meets is this S15 Varietta, now sitting nice and low at all four corners, we think it is a winner!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/20.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Hello Domo!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/21.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
In addition to the huge amount of Japanese cars, there are always a healthy amount of euro cars hitting up the local meets.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/22.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Even a show stopping Lamborghini made an appearance!!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/23.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
As you can see by the photos it was hard to get a moment alone with the LP 560 Gallardo.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/24.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
It sounded as good as it looked, thanks to a symphony of 10 throaty cylinders moving in perfect precision to produce a hefty 412KW!!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/25.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Although we would love to see it a little lower&#8230;<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/26.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
To the opposite end of the euro scale, but still something we&#8217;d love to see more of is this MK3 Golf with the very punchy VR6 6 cylinder engine!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/27.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
We were surprised to see one of our &#8216;We heart cars&#8217; competition winners at the meet! Justin walked away with 2nd place thanks to his clean DC2 Integra&#8230;<br />
Yes, those are L plates!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/28.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
Another shot of the beautiful S15 sitting on black meisters. This really is one of the best looking street cars we have come across, hats off to you!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/29.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
These &#8216;diy&#8217; lips are becoming a pretty popular mod amongst younger car modifiers, it&#8217;s stupidly cheap to do and adds a sense of toughness to almost any car!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="Http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTAUG/30.jpg" alt="" width="950" height="633"><br />
All and all it was a fantastic mix of cars and people. It really is a shame to see such an increase in negative attention from the local law enforcement with such well behaved attendees recently.<br />
For future meets be sure to check out <a href="http://www.hardtuned.net/">www.hardtuned.net</a><br />
Thanks for reading,<br />

Hype soon built with the large number of people expected at the meet, and the hardtuned.net Facebook page soon lit up.<br />
<img decoding="async" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2787.jpg" alt=""><br />
I arrived a little late and didn’t expect to find a park, though myself and the lucky few behind me quickly snapped up the last ones.<br />
<span id="more-2207"></span><br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2654.jpg" alt="R34 blue GTR"><br />
Just coincidence, or was I seeing double? The R34 seems to be regaining popularity and for good reason.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2682.jpg" alt="hardtuned meet lots of cars"><br />
The wide variety of cars showed that no matter what type of car you have, the overall reason for coming together is the same.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2699.jpg" alt="people at car meet"><br />
Though not quite as big as Sydney, Melbourne is really starting to show its force in numbers with each meet seeming to get bigger and bigger.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2780.jpg" alt="flared guards 200sx"><br />
Some nice guard work going on here!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2724.jpg" alt="holden drag car"><br />
Without a doubt the most powerful car at the meet. With head sized turbos and enough noise to deafen people 3km away, this car was a true monster.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2733.jpg" alt="drag car burnout in a crowd"><br />
Burnouts between cars in a stupid crazy drag car! No worries, except for all the cars that got sprayed with stones!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2692.jpg" alt="gt3000 and legnum"><br />
Two Mitsubishis that deserve more respect. Both very underrated cars.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2746.jpg" alt="ed civic"><br />
This forth gen Civic with complimenting wheels really looks clean and unmolested.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2741.jpg" alt="r33 big aero"><br />
Some pretty funky aero going on here! &nbsp;Looks like this may not be just a hard parker.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2759.jpg" alt="mini carpark"><br />
Strange, I didn&#8217;t realise that there was a whole other mini carpark at the back of the place. &nbsp;I guess when you need to find a park you find a park.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2763.jpg" alt="jdm cars roll up"><br />
More and more cars continued to flow in!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2650.jpg" alt="skyline r31 coupe"><br />
Two door R31&#8230; Amazing!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2787.jpg" alt="R33 fitment, stance"><br />
Aggressive fitment! There is a hard line between having flush fitment and a daily driver without smashing the shit out of your guards.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2757.jpg" alt="ford esscort"><br />
Love the superlites and the tight tuck that’s going on here, the Escort is one car you definitely do not see on the roads anymore and that’s a real shame.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2718.jpg" alt="skyline r35 gtr black nice wheels"><br />
R35 perfection.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2805.jpg" alt="r32 skyline stance"><br />
The P-platers are really sticking it to the oldies and showing them how to modify. Great selection of wheels and ride height.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2802.jpg" alt="R34 nice blue"><br />
Check out the attention to detail on the valve caps and white tyre highlights! These small things really made this car stand out.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2712.jpg" alt="phat silvia nissan, nice stance fitment camber"><br />
The camber on this Silvia really helped to make this car look lower and phatter than it really is.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2848.jpg" alt="packed car park with sunshine"><br />
Hey look the suns out! Okay, it didn’t last long, only enough for me to take a photo of the huge crowd.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2734_1.jpg" alt="Melbournes nicest mitsubishi EVO"><br />
An old favorite of ours, MREVO returns to show the evo crowd how it’s done!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2843.jpg" alt="Honda Legend, nice stance"><br />
Don’t you hate it when you have to drive directly into the sun?<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2851.jpg" alt="R34 mad GTR"><br />
Yet another fine example of the R34.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2836.jpg" alt="S2000 with rear diffuser"><br />
This photo racked up 200+ likes on our FB, and it’s easy to see why. This car truly is a masterpiece and it seems that you guys think so too.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2816.jpg" alt="classic corolla"><br />
Some nice classics, it’s good to see that these great cars haven&#8217;t been forgotten.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2769.jpg" alt="Honda Jazz Dropped"><br />
Back in the day I used to see quite a few great looking Jazzs hanging around, but these days not so much… So where are they all?<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6244.jpg" alt="lorimer st"><br />
If only we could add another level to this carpark! There seems to be plenty of height to build up…<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2810.jpg" alt="sticker bomb skyline"><br />
Not just a Honda thing, sticker bombing is a trend that is here to stay.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6253.jpg" alt="ke70 orange"><br />
A Super straight KE! So clean and well looked after.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6251.jpg" alt="datsun 260z"><br />
The price on these has skyrocketed in the last few years and it’s easy to see why. What a shape and what a legend! It was great to see one in person.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2646.jpg" alt="datsun 260 engine"><br />
Complete with its original engine, which looks like it has been lovingly rebuilt.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2875_1.jpg" alt="honda legend tough stance fitment"><br />
I couldn’t get enough of this Honda Legend! I still remember when it had the standard wheels and bags. I have to congratulate Oxer on his fine choice of wheels and incredible stance.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6256.jpg" alt="nice wheels"><br />
So tough! Mugen M7&#8217;s re barreled here in Victoria to offer some ridiculously low offset!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2871.jpg" alt="Yellow ke70 with quad headlights"><br />
Ready for war! With a fat tyre profile and decent offset, this KE70 looks like it wants to rip your arm off and beat you to death with the wet end.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2886.jpg" alt="Burnout crowd"><br />
The crowd assembled on the road to witness the drivers giving their cars hell all while attempting not to crash them.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2882.jpg" alt="bog down chaser"><br />
Checkout the weight shift!&nbsp; With the extra weight in the back and the foot to the floor this chaser’s ass nearly touched the ground!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/QS3I2884.jpg" alt="R35 on the move"><br />
No smoke, no steam, only astonishing speed. When this R35 flogged it, it disappeared within a couple of seconds!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6257.jpg" alt="wrx dark"><br />
By this time it was getting pretty dark and the majority of people decided to call it quits…<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6281.jpg" alt="s2000 large group shot"><br />
&#8230; Except for this large group of S2000 owners!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6275.jpg" alt="Melbourne city s2k"><br />
What a view! Right on the water, it was the perfect place to take shots of one of Honda’s most loved cars.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6276.jpg" alt="s2k meet awesome"><br />
I didn’t waste any time quickly sneaking in and taking a few photos. Where else do you see this many S2000s together?<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/ht_meet1507/IMG_6271.jpg" alt="S200 honda low many cars"><br />
With so many nice cars and quite a few people displaying some decent driving skills, the Hardtuned Meet was a huge success. This spot has seen some of the biggest car meets in Victoria this year, and if the scene continues to grow we’ll have to mark out measured parking to fit in as many cars as possible!<br />
Thanks for looking,<br />

Today the boys and girls from Hardtuned.net held a charity cruise from the Docklands to Lysterfield Lake, I managed to wake up early enough to attend the meeting point.<br />
The weather was less then perfect and for a while on the freeway heading in I thought about turning around and heading home!<br />
Luckily I didn&#8217;t, as the turn out was huge with around 50+ of Melbourne&#8217;s finest JDM rides rocking up for the event.<br />
<span id="more-1090"></span><br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/2.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="970" /><br />
All of these cars made the long journey to Australia in a container just like the ones in the background, so it seemed very fitting to be taking photos next to them.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/3.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
This location makes for a great backdrop and I love getting shots of a car with its owner.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/4.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
This very cool RX-7 has been doing the rounds at the latest Vic Drift Members Day.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/5.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Loved the wheel choice on this four door R33 Skyline.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/6.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
If the owner of this Nissan Stagea trekked down to Melbourne for this meet, then I am truly impressed!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/7.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
One angry looking S15 Silvia.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/8.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
By 11am the amount of cars was getting a bit out of hand for the small empty lot.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/9.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="970" /><br />
The caliber of attending cars was impressive, all had great wheel combos and nearly everyone had perfect fitment.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/10.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
A very USDM LS Integra, I like this dedication to a certain style and respect anybody who follows something like this and pulls it off.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/11.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Loving this &#8220;Big Mac&#8221; S13! This was tearing up Winton on the last Vic Drift Members Day for 2011.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/12.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Separated by a generation these Skylines look more alike than any other model.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/13.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Bringing sexy back in black&#8230;<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/14.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
This is one car that took a while to grow on me, the rear quarter windows are the real winner for me in the end though.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/15.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
One of the best cars there was this amazing 180sx sporting &#8216;ACT&#8217; plates and it was killing it with these aggressive wheels.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/16.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
So much rubber&#8230;<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/17.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Here&#8217;s that awesome four door R33 Skyline again. This is the first four door Skyline that I have really appreciated.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/18.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="970" /><br />
A touch of class and a whole lot of baller, this Lexus sits perfectly on it&#8217;s gold BBS rims!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/19.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Polished Meisters? Yes please!!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/20.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Some pretty nice rides from all the Japanese stables here, except for Toyota. Not a single Toyota was at the meeting point.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/21.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="970" /><br />
A V-Spec GT-R looking pretty mean.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/22.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
The parking arrangement made for some pretty nice shots, loved the &#8216;Illest&#8217; sticker on the lip.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/23.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Such distinctive styling, this is still my favorite Skyline shape.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/24.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Great colour on this series 2 S14!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/25.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Such a bright colour amongst a sea of greys and whites, this 200SX had some pretty interesting sticker bombing on it&#8217;s rear bar.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/26.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Melbourne has been hiding all these lovely imports somewhere, look at them all!<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/27.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="970" /><br />
My favorite shot of the day, the dark sky above almost makes it look like the sun is setting.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/28.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
&#8216;Frush&#8217; is really popping up everywhere, it&#8217;s great to see the local car community supporting one another.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/29.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Tough on wheels.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/30.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Not many cars work well in two tone, this Silvia was an exception.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/31.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="970" /><br />
The twin tone horns make this WRX look very menacing.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/32.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
S14 away from the pack, lucky for me though so I could get this awesome shot.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/33.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="970" /><br />
That killer 180SX again, loving the rear.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/34.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Great subtle colour on this drift RX-7.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/35.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="970" /><br />
Half way through the meet, a bunch of promo cars from Red Bull Mobile pulled up.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/36.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
A crowd gathered pretty quick to score some free cans.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/37.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Then a generator was cranked over and a DJ started playing some tracks&#8230;<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/38.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
While this dance crew started break dancing, it really was very bizarre.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/39.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
No one really had a clue what was going on, most enjoyed the show though.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="alignnone" src="http://photos.gripshiftslide.com/HTNET/40.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="433" /><br />
Some of the moves where pretty impressive and just as quickly as they had appeared, they were gone!<br />
After all the excitement everyone jumped in the cars and made their way for the cruise destination, I decided to call it a day and head home.</p>
<p>This was by far the best turn out I&#8217;ve seen in a very long time, Melbourne pride!<br />
Thanks for reading,<br />
&#8211; Gwyn.</p>
